April 20- Fist Practice at the studio

Hey lovely ladies!

I hope you all had an amazing workout today, it was very cool to go over so many different genres of dance in one day. I look forward to working with Ann Marie to learn ballet and Jenelle to learn.... well a lot of other stuff :)

Any who, I will just summarize some of the topics we talked about this morning in case you forgot, or weren't able to attend (Renee! )


Practice

• Saturdays 9am- noon at the studio. 50 N Tampa Ave, Orlando , FL 32805
• Time is money (literally) so lets make a habit to be prompt so that we are not wasting time
• Eventually Sandy will split the class up- Older folks first, younger kids second half
• Ann Marie is taking over May 18th to introduce us to ballet
• Jenelle will take May 25th for reggaeton, merengue, or bachata
• We will try to have flexibility with practice, if one day works better for the whole group we are willing to change if we have advance notice

Dress code

• NO JEWELRY wedding bands & rings are okay. No 'fandangles' as Sandy would say, no hanging earrings or bracelets or watches.
• Hair should be slick back
• Nails should be kept low cut
• Any injuries should be tend to before arrival at practice
• If you know you have weak knees, invest in knee pads as we may do some floor work.

Diet/ Workout

• We need to take care of our bodies ladies, especially since it is our temple
• The goal is to cut out white flour and to have only natural sugars from fruits, Jenelle has a great blog on holistic nutrition. I will be posting recipes either here or there to help some of you with the cut of these things. (http://www.simplyjenelle.com/ is her blog)
• As well as diet we need to strengthen our core, and better our posture.... Basically we need to compose ourselves as dancers :)

Other

• Sandy will be out of town May 12
• We are in need of water during practice, we will start rotating who needs to bring that this week.
• Felicia will head up fundraisers since she is the bomb diggity at that so look forward to hearing from her about that soon
• I will create a phone and email list once everyone has filled out a registration form

Most importantly, lets remember that we ARE our sister's keeper. We have an open door policy, know you will always get our love and undivided attention when needed. We are here to have fun and praise God through dance.... and look good while doing it!

Goodbye Old, Hello New... studio that is!

I am so excited that we are able to rent this new studio out.

Here is the plan ladies, We will be meeting every saturday from 9am-noon at the studio
